Family Physical Therapy performs pre-employment screens/physicals for various companies in and around Kearney, Lexington and Minden. This establishes that as a potential employee you know you are safe to do your new jobs requirements and ensures the employer that their new hire is capable of doing the job descriptions without issues. These typically take 30 mins to an hour max depending on the employers requirements.

We ask that people that are going to have the pre-employment screens done to please:

  • Bring Identification Card
  • Dress appropriately – gym shorts, t-shirt, sweats, clothing that is flexible
  • Tennis Shoes/closed toe- no open toe/dress shoes
  • Please leave children at home for liability issues. They can not be left unattended.
  • Appointment times are set at specific times to ensure there is time for all requirements to be fulfilled appropriately.

On-Site Assessment- To identify and correct impairments before work injuries occur.

Work Conditioning- To provide rapid recovery in order to return to a safe work environment.
*A Work Conditioning Program speeds recovery time and reduces the likelihood of re-injury upon return to work. Work conditioning is a highly structured, individualized and goal oriented program which is designed to maximize the individual’s ability to return to work.

Job-site Analysis- To evaluate components of a job’s requirement to determine the required capabilities.

Functional Capacity Evaluation- Is a set of tests, practices and observations that are combined to determine the ability of the evaluated person to function in a variety of circumstances, most often employment, in an objective manner.
*The testing is also required by insurers in when an insured person applies for disability payments or a disability pension in the case of permanent disability.
